Nvidia recently launched their top of the line Gefore GTX 1080 Ti. Where the card sure looks promising, most of us would most likely go for an AIB GTX 1080 Ti instead. For those of you a company named GALAX have also teased their version of the GTX 1080 Ti.
As you can see, the upcoming GALAX GTX 1080 Ti sure looks sick. With the black theme and red LED fans. Les hope GALAX would give its users the option to change colors on the LED fans as well. Which would make for even a better card. Because then its user would be able to match the lighting on their newly owned GALAX GTX 1080 Ti, to go with the case or the RGB lighting on their motherboard.
The specifications on the GALAX GTX 1080 Ti aren’t mentioned yet. Though according to Nvidia the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti will have 3584 CUDA cores, 88 ROPs and 224 TMUs. The base clock on the card would be 1480 MHz while the boost clock would be 1582 MHz. Aside from that the card is also equipped with 11 GB of GDDR5X memory.
With the GALAX GTX 1080Ti, the only difference aside from the better cooling. Would be in the base and boost clocks of the card. As companies like GALAX and many others, always launch better performing graphic cards compared to the reference Nvidia model. But if you are someone who can’t wait, then the reference model of the GTX 1080 Ti would be the first one made available to the market.
What I’m personally interested in, is the Hall of Fame edition of the GALAX GTX 1080 Ti. As it’s the best that GALAX has to offer. The founder’s edition of the GTX 1080 Ti will launch on 8th of March. With third party manufacturers to launch their cards on 10th of March, including GALAX.
