AMD RX Vega 56 ahead of the GTX 1070 Founders Edition in the leaked benchmarks

ChipHell released a slide a while ago via Reddit regarding the benchmark of Vega. There’s one thing to note on the slide is that the benchmark is in aggregate so, it’s not just one benchmark. The actual performance is a bunch of benchmark they did. So, we don’t know how many synthetics, how many games are at this benchmarks. Also, we don’t know whether these are reference cards or AIB aftermarket coolers. Anyway’s let’s have a look at this graph.

2 44 AMD RX Vega 56 ahead of the GTX 1070 Founders Edition in the leaked benchmarks

We see that the Vega 56 ahead of the GTX 1070 Founders Edition, what is surprising to us that the Vega 64 Air-cooled does just better than the GTX 1080 FE both stock and overclocking. It’s sucks that we don’t have the Liquid-cooler Vega 64 to see how it compares to the GTX 1080 Ti. Again these are just leaks but what if these are all true then the real winner is the AMD Vega 56 at $399. And for that price you get the next-gen GPU HBM2 memory and all the bells and whistle of the new Vega architecture.

If there’s one thing that AMD improved on, it’s in their drivers department. AMD really improved on that and given us the timely driver updates. And each updates really incrementally increase the performance of Polaris in the RX 480 which is a good sign.

Also, the Vega 56 at $399 is just right below there nipping on the butt off the 1080 FE, which seems to be a very good GPU for $399. Let us know about this leak, is this what you expected to see in terms of performance, let us know in the comments below.
