Recently we have been hearing a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming GPU from Nvidia. Which is said to be the Ti version of the mid ranged GTX 1070. Well now we have our hands on some leaked images which are said to be from Gigabyte of its upcoming GTX 1070 Ti.
There is no visual difference between the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti and its regular version known as the GTX 1070 G1. Though the PCB on the GTX 1070 Ti from Gigabyte is slightly shorter compared to its regular version. There are also no details regarding what the specs would be on the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti. But what’s interesting is that Gigabyte didn’t put any specific suffix on its GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, something like OC etc. Which does come in line with the rumors, that Nvidia will not be allowing factory overclocking on its GTX 1070 Ti variants.
Judging from the leaked pictures, it seems users would be needing a single 8-pin PCIe connector in order to power the GTX 1070 Ti. While in terms of ports the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti comes equipped with a single HDMI, DVI-D and three DisplayPort outputs. Aside from that the cooler on the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Ti also looks upgraded. Which comes equipped with a set of three fans on a dual slot cooler design.
There is not much to known about the GTX 1070 Ti from Nvidia yet. But it is rumored to come equipped with Nvidia GP104 die, which comes with 2432 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR5 memory. That is clocked in at 8GHz on a 256-bit memory interface. While the pricing on the GPU itself will be somewhere around $400 to $450. Which is something reasonable for a GPU that performs between the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 from Nvidia.
